The coop is ready, the chickens are not. They aren't quite old enough yet. We are going to put this coop up on blocks inside a fenced in area out in the back yard. We hope they like it....but if they don't, we'll just eat them. Ha!
Molly showed me your awesome coop when I came over--I am so impressed! Especially the little door with the dog leash hinges--so creative and well-built, you guys!
About 15 years ago I bought 4 chicks. I thought that would be a good number. The next day I came home and the wife and daughters had bought 4 more. This happened a few more times and in a week we had about 16 hens. I built a 12' x 12' coop and a 16' x 12' run. Trust me, 16 hens is WAY WAY to many!
