Arrow of Light Ceremony

Kaden received the highest award for a Cub Scout tonight. He got his Arrow of Light award. It was a cool ceremony and we are proud of him. He took the walk over the bridge and shook hands with his new leader. He is excited to start Boy Scouts.

Kaden's Birthday

Kaden is 11. I can't believe he is that old. He had a good family birthday party and will have one with his friends tomorrow. Because he is now a boy scout, he got things for camping like a pack, compass, a whistle, and a signal mirror. He also got an erector set to build. Molly made him a cheesecake as per his request. We edited the movie Transformers and let Kaden watch it. It was a good day.

Grandma & Grandapa Come to Soda Springs!

Last weekend, Grandma and Grandpa Donahoo came to see us for a day. They brought presents for Kaden's birthday which included a cool book about Joseph Smith and Stacy's old skis. Thanks Stacy for letting Kaden use those. He is going to get his winter sports merit badge done this year. While they were here, we went to a hotdog cookout that the city of Grace had at their town park. Then we all went ice fishing (everybody went). The little boys got cold quick, but Sadie and Kaden stayed on the ice with us for about an hour. We caught a few little perch. Dad showed us his old house in Grace where he lived when he was five years old.

Time Out!

Gabe thought it would be funny to throw all of the puzzle pieces down the stairs. Maybe it was funny the first time, but not after the second or third. He got a timeout. It was actually pretty funny to see him stand there. He picked them up right afterwards. He's a good little boy.....most of the time.

Cousins!

While in SLC, we picked up two cousins and brought them home with us. They will stay for a while. Kaden and Sadie are really happy that they are here. We all are. They had some fun sledding in the front yard yesterday.

SLC trip

Our new nephew was born and is staying at Primary Children's Hospital for a while to work some things out. We wanted to see them, so as much as I hate going to Salt Lake, away we went. It was a good trip afterall. We stayed downtown and had a view of the construction going on by temple square. Zach and Gabe could have watched the cranes and tractors work all day. We walked around temple square and ate at Macaroni Grill. While at the restaurant, Gabe ran by a stranger's table and grabbed a handful of spaghetti right off her plate. I was really embarassed, but she was friendly and laughed about it.

Logan Temple

We took the kids for a drive to show them where mom and dad are on "temple nights". It is sure a nice place.

Christmas Day

Christmas Day we were pretty much snowed in. Mostly because I didn't feel like starting up the old 4 wheeler and plowing. After opening presents and making a huge mess, we stayed inside and had a pretty lazy day. It was fun.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is different for everybody. Our traditi

ons include: Making cookies for Santa, getting new pajamas, and eating Molly's famous Swedish Cream dessert. Good stuff.

Grandma Karan and Grandpa Jim's Presents

Every year, Molly and her brothers and sisters all put their money together to buy a present for Jim and Grandma Karan. This year, they bought bedding and towels for their house out on Cave Falls road. We were sure glad to see them, but they had to hurry back to Ashton to avoid being snowed out.

Snow at Grandma & Grandpa's house

It snowed a lot right before Christmas in Rexburg. We all had fun playing in it. The kids built tunnels and shoveled snow. Grandpa and Grandma took them around to deliver Christmas stuff to the neighbors. We had a good time there.

Thanks Jake and Leslie!

Zach wanted to say thanks to you guys.
