The Weekend Storm (part 2)

Sunday, I woke up to go to an early meeting and it had snowed so much that the tree limbs were starting to sag and the roads were pretty bad. I took these pictures on the way home at about 8:30 am. I can't believe there is so much snow on October 12th. The leaves haven't even fallen completely yet. On another topic, I've been hunting all weekend for deer. So far, no luck. All I see is doe after doe. I'll keep trying. This snow should help things a little.

The Weekend Storm (part 1)

Yesterday, it snowed quite a bit for October. It was enough to build a snowman and turn everything white for a while. The kids had fun.

Gabe and Zach love this part!

Gabe and Zach laugh every time they see this part. It is funny to watch them.

My favorite MMA Fighter

I love watching Forrest Griffin fight. He is currently the UFC champ at light heavyweight. He sure makes the fight exciting. I don't know how long he'll stay champ, but it sure is fun to watch.

Scouting for Deer, Killed a Chicken

I went to the end of the road past the house last night and scouted for deer. The season opens on Friday. It was the only time that I've been that I didn't take Kaden with me. Anyway, he should have shot this grouse instead of me, but it sure was fun. I only saw 2 does. It isn't cold enough to get the deer over here to their winter feeding grounds just yet. It is supposed to snow Thursday through Saturday. If it is heavy enough, I might see some good bucks. If not, I'll just get cold.

Apple Muffins & Applesauce Cookies

Soon we'll have apple everything........but they're so good. Zach calls them "apple nuthins".

Picking Apples for FHE

These are hopefully the last apples we have to pick this year. Last year we had about 4 apples from all of our trees. This year, it is a different story. We have a lot. Also, the neighbors keep bringing more over. Our food storage is heavy on the apple products this year. The last picture is of Molly doing the "stop taking pictures and pick some apples" face.

Gabe helps with tomatoes.

We only grew one red tomato this year and Molly was excited to get it yesterday. Gabe decided that it would be better to just squish it. Then he threw all the green ones at Zach.
